Nice one. Just as longs as you leave the ref. there and dont go introducing another 'pet' in the form of a large flatulent tomato then we're all happy.
Hey garfer, did you like CSI? Don't you think it odd that he references his own movies so much - bit egotistical?
Totally excellent. This is unique and bloody well done work. It's fantastic to keep getting it for free. Like getting a lifetime's free brothel service in a raffle. Or something. Not that I'd know, but probably.
I'd say one of the references was "The Hunger". The scene walking down the corridor seems familiar too, but I can't place it.
i'm not thinking vampires, but surely some variation on the theme of the undead - no? i mean even in comic strips "living" people can't survive in locked freezers, right?
i don't think this is a reference, but the strip reminded me a lot of the book/movie Coma.
Herge, I've been wanting to ask you where you get the idea from? Do you have a whole plotline formed before you start? Or do you get more and more ideas as you go? Or is it a case of, you have an ending in mind, some of the middle, but difficulty with the beginning (that's often my dillema when writing/creating something)?

Umm... I hope the strip isn't only half-over because I have lots and lots of questions.
I sure wonder, sometimes, what's in that strange mind of yours, Herge. :)
It ain't called Strangeways for nuthin!
Karen - don't expect me to go all George Lucas with this one.
P.I. Cheers. I have it all planned out... and again, don't expect to see, or have everything explained.
Jeez, just watched the buried alive episode of CSI. Then I turn to this.
Sweet dreams guaranteed.
You've got a bunch of Vampires in those freezers don't you.
You don't need freezers to store vampires, you need freezers to stop... something... from rotting.
Oops, said too much.
Good one!
And thanks for visiting and commenting on my site!
Sorry mate, got distracted and posted twice.
Donald, he's a real odd one ain't he... Actually, they all must be. livin' up to the family name...
So do you think the wife knew what she was getting herself into when she married him...
Dunno about Beryl, (actually I do) maybe there will be a little more background on them coming up. But not in this format.
Is everyone enjoying this btw. Did you find it funny?
Disturbing, but funny. You could probably pitch this to Tim Burton.
Nah... it's a blog comic all the way.
Enjoy. Not that many episodes to go.

What do you mean by 'ref'?
And as for the flatulent tomato pet - you bastard! that's the next episode scrapped then.
That was the only CSI I've managed to watch right through.
edwaado - stop titting about and get THE WIRE seasons 1-3 watched! That's how you make a cop show!
Thanks for reminding me, I'd completely forgotten about those. Will do pronto. 'Time Machine' will have to wait (damn looks so good though).
(BTW I meant 'reference', and make it more pointy and pretend its a strawberry, no-one will ever know).
Also not forgotten about the 5 favourite books thingy, nearly done now.
So, got anything dark planned for after the Strangeways???
Oi - edwaado - don't over step the mark
Strawberry??? What???
Dark stuff happening at the momment - no one's really picked up on it yet.
And besides, I never reference in the dialogue - it's all in the background - where a good (or bad) reference should be.
Actually, there were two big sci-fi film refs in this episode... anyone anyone...
edwaado, you are only allowed to reference the second one, you already know the first - hold on!!! Just got your ref to mine.
D'uh! No, not spray painted space hoppers coming up.
Is it my eye site or are there two entrances to the cellar, the 2nd boarded up?
Maybe. Actually nah, I did actually consider putting a second entrance in then decided not. The thing you refer to is the UPS.
It's the box people innit?
This is getting very Beckett-y
Errr...
Love the dialogue.
You haven't got a couple of quid spare have you?
Damn it, I'm not sure what the Hell that was...
BUT I LOVE IT!!!!

This whole thing is a bit like what would happen if you put me and family in Kingdom Hospital and then gave us all a load of acid!

Edwaado pointed out one of the references to me today, but it was a film I've not seen, so I'm not really qualified to announce it here.
Very cleverly done, though. A clue would be that the reference isn't so much a specific object, but more a situation/relationship.
Damn that's a crap clue, but hey.
Herge - you can delete this if you like, but just remember that I've made a long list today of movies I should watch, which includes this movie, so your protegé is making progress.

Rowan - all plotted out.
