Is that green thing a cat?

Hey casaaqua - how you doing? - I'll drop by later.

Karen - I think the kids got 'issues' with his dad being a bit of a nutter.

Can anyone help MHN out with what the green thing is?

whoah! You watch blues clues lately?

Rowan, what's blues clues?

I'd rather go to BIBLE CAMP than hang out with that nutbar dad!

I love how the family dog is playing with the family... alien?

Glad to see the Triffid make a reappearance, so Donald is a struggling Triffid gardener too!

Ooh I'm being drawn in...

Herge, Strangeways, in a way, looks a bit like a kids show called 'Blues Clues' only more creepy. We've got a couple of the books you can take a look...
Blues clues site

Personally I prefer Dora the Explorer

The return of the Triffid! Hoorah!!

I loved this one, it had me sniggering at my desk this morning.

You see, Herge covers important sociological issues such as family interactions, living with dangerous plant-life. All you get from me is pig products on strange northern bread baps.

Oh, and you aced it on the graphics, Herge.

Makes me sound like a twat, but I am!

Cool, it does kinda look like Blues Clues... never heard of that before.

Thanks y'all.

If you're wondering what the fuss is about the 'green alien-cat' thing, follow the link and all will be revealed; here

'aced it' Tina - what you mean 'A Crappy Effort'd it?

How dare you!!!

Only joking.

Ho, ho, ho! Your skill and talent fills me with great envy.

I like this series. It makes my brain go all fizzy in the center.

I was mostly thinking of your people living in the picture of the house bit, I was half expecting to see a blue paw print, and then we can all go "a clue a clue!" and "skidoo into the painting" like Steve and Blue do. haha I'm so dorky.

Just re-reading your flatland gardener post, and saw the comment from Sam, where's she gone?

Sam, oh Sam... Where can she be? It's weird isn't it? How you have such a regular and they just disappear one day. I think she's off on other blogging ventures.

Still, it's nice to know the Triffid still loves us.

Herge Smith said...

It just nice to have the triffid back - in whatever form. I've been trying to think of ways for ages to shoehorn the triff into something. It's in the next installment as well.

It's funny about Sam, she could have just gone - 'look guys, don't want to do this anymore, I'm actually Derek from Harrogate or whatever...' but to have just disappeared...

And she was one of the original heroic trio - even before me.

Thor - That's a great site, I just left a message.

Aye, tis a sad state of affairs. But there'll always be the Triffid.

I'm very fond of Triffids myself. Good show!

Herge Smith said...

Hello there Wyndham the Triffid. Pleased you liked the inclusion of one of your brothers (or sisters - we'll have no sexism here thanks - actually, do Triffids have multi sexes?)

Anyway, welcome... did you check out the gardening section - there's a link toward the start of this comment section.

Hello Trill - nice to see ya back.

Glad you're up to speed MHN.

Wyndham said...

Herge, a most engaging, and fair piece, I think - your gardening section is spot on. We Triffids have much to thank Umberto Christoforo Palanguez for. I come from a large family and have relatives all over the world thanks to his plane, containing a number of my spore cousins, exploding somewhere in the upper-atmosphere over a remote part of Russia. It was a most-obliging happenstance.
Regards, Wyndham.

M said...

Me too, it's no fun being left alone in the dark! :-)

Herge Smith said...

Again, Wyndham I thank you for your kind words.

I hope the speckled root rash has cleared up now. - Remember it's a question of getting the right kind of mulch.
