Dixon update: And she’s home!!

not actually meImage070
Dixon (Pixie) blogging and smiling - activities she'll get back to soon.

Hurray, the small fool is back home, sitting right now on my lap as I type. (later to be put in her ‘rest’ cage, which I’ve just rented from the vet).

However, she’s nowhere recovered, her back legs are pretty much useless – although with the intensive physiotherapy (6 times a day) and much will power, I hope to have her returning to a more mobile state as soon as poss.

Dixon has a quite lethal looking scar on her back (approximately 8cm long – ouch) and her back has been shaved – she looks like a skinhead, only not as pathetic.

I also have a ‘tummy band’, which supports her tummy/back quarters whilst I walk her around. This encourages her to get used to walking again, but it does feel a bit like you're encouraging a bag of shopping to walk.

It’s going to be a slow process, and we won’t know for at least 10 days to two weeks whether she’ll ever regain the use of her back legs, but I’ll tell you this – it won’t be for the sake of trying.

Tar for all your support. I’ll continue to update y'all throughout her recovery process.

awwww, the poor thing! I hated my surgery, but it's a shame for animals, I don't think they even get to express it properly.

Oh my!!!!! Glad to know she's got a great two legged parent looking after her. My two canine kids are my world. Give Dixon a smooch from Hollywood!

Andy, you perv! The poor little thing's recovering from serious back surgery and you're suggesting that her daddy takes advantage of her with his sausage while she's paralysed?

Sick, you're all sick!

Ryan was right.

Yuck Tina - and Dixon a cripple - Ryan and Pals are right - you're twisted man!!

Andy - You can feed her sausage - thats like cannibalism for a daxie.

Frstlymill - She's had tons of Hollywood smooches today.

Thordora - You're right, a pig ear is about the size of her whole body.

Rowan - that is the worst thing, her not knowing why her legs aren't working properly, mind you, hasn't really stopped her, she a keen dragger.

Trill - WHERE'S YA BLOG, GIRL???

Yes, trillion, where the devil is your blog?

I'd LOVE for Trillion to blog.

Trillion now has a duty to blog.

And what's with the faux animal rape thing? I go off down to the pub to spend the last of my readies, lose a game of pool thanks to Excalibur, and return to find I'm a dog-abuser. Holy monkey jism. I feel tawdry (and that is not a dog.)

"Holy monkey jism" - Great expression! Any turn off phrase that incorporates jism should be congratulated.

Cute little baby is home! :) Give her a kiss on the head for me.

(I can't help myself - I baby talk to dogs, especially young or small ones.)

Trillion would just like to say at this point that she worked all fucking night trying to set up a blog and ended up throwing her computer down a flight of stairs...well almost. I tried guys, I really did but it just wouldn't behave. I managed to put in some sort of link to Tina's site and a photo. That was the easy part. I was having untold amounts of hassle with fucking line spacing. If I hit return, I mean RETURN. And to top it all off, it kept changing my name back to a default setting that I changed about a million (trillion!) times over but it refused to aknowledge. Git! I ended up not eating until 10pm (which always makes me grumpy) and declaring to my cat that "I don't want to be in their bloody gang, anyway!" Double humph! Can't you just tell I don't got a PhD?

Maybe if you're very nice to me (I'm feeling frail today) I'll give you the name of the thing and you can see that I did try quite hard.

Trillion, trillion, trillion...

I've been at this now for oh... I don't know, 4 months... and I've done about 150 blogs and I still find using blogger horribly frustrating at times...BUT it's about the words.

So give it up girl... Where you at??

Honestly, you'll get used to it - BUT NEVER USE RETURN - it hates it and SAVE AS DRAFT often, especially if you're about to preview - sometimes when I go back half the blog is missing and don't use spell check - it's useless - write the blog in word and then paste in the html section.

Just some tips...

ADDRESS TRILLION ADDRESS!!
