She's such a bad liar.

Herge, absolute genius. Simpsons meets South Park meets Futurama meets angry Chimp. Lethal combination. Loving it!

Piss off Trillion, I did get it and I even contributed a bit, so leave me along. I'm older than you!

Adverts for what?

Hopefully you're all enjoying it, more to come... and I hope you've realised that this is one big story, with interlocking sketches... sheeesshhh I am a twat.

I don't think I can copyright any of this stuff! And why bother, who's gonna copy it?

Just a hunch I guess. You know me, its more about the technology - as you can tell from my effort.

Ohmigod, Herge, tears! You have me in tears! That was so freakin' funny! I love how you are tying these all together... makes me feel like I'm in a special club. Oh wait, I am... the Herge Smith fan club.

Seriously, though, beautiful work man!

Herge Smith said...

Thanks Lisa - and yes, it is one long story, that will (i hope) develop as I do more...

Lisa from Alaska said...

Fabulous, then I sincerely look forward to more.

Since Trill brought it up, tell me, do you watch South Park?

Herge Smith said...

Yeah, I love it - I realise that this is starting to look South Park esq... ie a bit 2D and crappy... but it's the absolutely easist way of building pictures.

I love it actually, I used do comics a few years ago (underground comics = shitty zine type) and it was an arse having to slavishly draw each panel - I write, i'm no artist... but with this photoshop stuff i can just build a set, as it were then movie stuff around in it.

So yeah, it's a bit south park, except (i hope) a lot different in terms of comedy and stories.

I was hust wondering, not because of the look to your strip, but because of your brand of humor.

I was watching an episode of SP where Kenny dies and goes to heaven where his is set to command God's army in a battle against Satan's. Kenny keeps getting yanked from heaven during crutial moments because he's family wants him revived and kept on life support. Cartman, set to inherit Kenny's game consol, but only if Kenny actually dies, so as Kenny's BFF he lobbys to get the life support pulled.

I thought about you throught the whole entire episode! Matt and Trey humorious take on the Terri Shivo case (and all of the hoopla and politics surronding it) reminded me seriously of you.

What about the Family Guy? That's another one that get's me thinkin' of the Chimp.

Herge Smith said...

I've seen that one - he's an expert on the PSP ain't he?

I like South Park, they take on some big issues, and explore ridiculousness on both sides.

In terms of humour though I'm more of a Seinfeld type, and some old British comedy - Family Guy is something I never got into - I do still love the Simpsons, and adore Futurama - the other show by Matt Groening - His robot Bender is the single greatest character ever invented.
