I was recently asked by Lord Bargain over at The Bargain Basement to contribute to his series of bloggers fav movie reviews.

You can read about what does it for me here

Ooh, Thing One and Thing Two.

These are a few of my favourite Things.

I'm a bit more Dr Seuss than horror flicks, but I did enjoy the review.

Great choice Herge. My fave movie of all time is a Carpenter film; "Assault On Precinct 13". No, really, I'm serious. Also greatest ever movie theme music.
"I wanted vanilla twist".

" Two men, sitting out in the snow, not knowing if the other is The Thing, unable to do anything about it if they are, slowly freezing to death."

I never saw this movie, but reading this line makes me want to see it... desperately.

Very cool choice. I'm a big Carpenter fan, myself. Not sure if I would have put The Thing at the top of the list, but close to it. Great review.

I have been meaning to see this movie for a long time (as I consider myself a horror movie buff) but sadly have not yet....I have the book, but haven't read it either....damn me

I have a hard time putting any Carpenter movie above Big Trouble in Little China, but that's just me.

Believe it or not I haven't seen 'The Thing'. I will rectify this situation as soon as possible.
Good review

update: the thing was on tv last night at 2am! I fell asleep just after the opening credits, but thought what a coincidence, we were just speaking of it.

I think The Thing is on my list of movies to see, but that very fact is something that makes Herge's blood boil.

Looking foward to seeing it, though.
