Spooky, I was just listening to 'you and yours' on which they were discussing such scenarios.

Oh crap, might have given it away that I listen to a certain radio station.

Stand by for Angry Chimp getting sued by Maccy D's!

Herge Smith said...

Isn't you and yours a programme on...erm...hold on, just checking the radio show listings... must have been around midday...hmm..not radio 1, or radio 2... definately not 3 - OH MY GOD - Radio 4!!!

edwaado, your radio 4 listening, guardian reading, dachshund ownership, sickens me!!

Trillion, I am partial to a Maccy D, God knows I hate myself afterwards... it's only once in a blue moon... does that make me evil?

I guess that's the secret of McDonalds. You try and have the will power to resist but every once it a while you get a real craving and give in to temptation, desperate for a Big Mac hit... then about half way through you realise it doesn't taste anything like you remembered it to taste and you feel bloated and sick for about a year afterwards, before starting to think "Ooh, I could just eat a Big Mac".

It's a vicious cycle and you must resist!

I'd leave you a limmerick as a response, but I'm not too happy with mine. The form is correct, but the rhythm is off. Will have to work on that. Good Morning Herge!

The dude is lucky that they moved him to fry cook instead of putting his head in the hot fry grease.

Herge Smith said...

Trillion - the clown is evil, he tempts us, but as you say, you must resist.

MHN - thing is about this dude, he only took pictures of kids for a book - it could have been a very innocent book, and why shouldn't children be photographed? - But it only takes a couple of people to start throughing round the accusation of paedo and it sticks.

We live in unusal times - once they saw witches everywhere, now they see terrorists and paedophiles.

Naw Vic was a perv...just look at him.

Herge Smith said...

Oh yeah, Vics defo a perv - I'm just saying, you can't always assume.

Craig said...

Perhaps the p(a)edophiles and terrorists are witches. We should burn them. (Sits back and waits for the inevitable "If they weigh the same as a duck" comment from someone)

Herge Smith said...

Bit of a language difference there - we win though, we created the language - althought the greeks invented the kiddie fiddlers.

As for burning, as say we burn everyone, just to be certain.

Mmm... Fries.

My doctor says my cholesterol levels are among the lowest she's ever seen. Better fix that!

pissoff said...

Naw...I say assume. I'm not going to give him the benefit of the doubt especially with my children.

Herge Smith said...

So, what's more evil -

kiddie fiddlers or McDonalds?

MHN for short said...

Yes you are correct my dear Herge. One must NOT assume. You know the old saying: To assume makes an "Ass of "u" and "me".

MHN for short said...

kiddie fiddlers for sure! evil, vile, interesting enough both words comprised of the same letters...

thordora said...

mcdicks does abuse them to a certain degree...and there has always been something about the hamburgler....

KFC-now THERE is a temptation that always ends badly....

I like Maccy D's strawberry milkshakes (the shame). My local Mac is staffed by Polish and Hungarian graduates. Thankfully they can speak coherent English, unlike the locals.

It's not like I don't feel guilty enough feeding my kid at the arches, what with all their healthy food. Now you got me worrying about the counter people too.

Sniffy said...

I think on a global scale, McDonald's is guilty of inflicting far more long-term harm on children than kiddie fiddlers.

I guess this post shows the irony perfectly: from kiddie porn peddler to kiddie crap peddler.

I bet a load of paedphiles use the "Come with me and keep it a secret and I'll get you a McDonald's" line all the time. Next time you're in massive queue at a McDonald's Drive-Thru, have a look who's accompanying the children.

Herge Smith said...

That's correct Tina - I was considering all these factors, including the underlying metaphor of McD's as another form of child abuse when I penned this RAGE against a society that see's focing feeding of junk food to out young as acceptable, but anything that takes an interest in children as something to fear and attack.

It was in now way my attempt to rhyme 'book' with 'fry cook' which led me to use a graphic from McDs

Ahem (nervous cough).

i dont know a whole lot of 4, 5, 6 or even 10 or 11 y/o's with considerable liquid cash flow. so just who are those wicked and evil people who are buying the children food at mickey d's? who is creating and raising the glut of lazy, overweight, selfish, rude, uncultured, self indulgent, irresponsible little fucks we see in the world today? i'll tell you right now, it isn't the music producers and movie and television producers and video game makers and fast food restaurants and every other scapegoat that this "it isn't MY fault" society tries to pin the blame on. why the fuck do we require people to get liscenses to drive, hell even to own pets, but we will let anyone be a parent - without any concern about their ability to raise children?

aasmodeus said...

faltanus, I keep hearing that over and over, parents should have licenses. I somewhat agree, but unfortunately just like unlicensed drivers there will still end up being unlicensed parents.

I think there should be compulsory contraception for everyone until they show they've got the capability of:

a) looking after themselves
b) showing common sense
c) taking care of a child
d) demonstrating a distaste for pink

Only when people fulfil these criteria should the contraception be withdrawn.

MHN for short said...

Hitler thought that too, only his consession were that you had to be a Hitler Youth to be able to procreate. All others were headed for the chambers... no offense, just a thought.
